Nicole M. Litchfield
Nicole founded Bioscribe in 1997 in San Francisco to meet the communications needs of the emerging biotech industry. With 17 years focused on life sciences communications, she has developed great relationships with the media covering this space and other thought leaders in the industry. She excels at advising CEOs, Marketing VPs and Communications Directors for Fortune 500 and early stage start-ups how to communicate effectively through exciting growth, as well as during business challenges. Her career began in Washington DC on the healthcare team at Ketchum Public Relations, a leading international communications firm. She is on the Communications Advisory Board for the American Society for Human Genetics. A native of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Nicole is an extensive world traveler and enjoys exploring her beautiful Northern California backyard from the hills of Marin County.
Meredith W. Salisbury
Prior to becoming a consultant for Bioscribe, Meredith was CEO and Editor-in-Chief of GenomeWeb, the leading news and information service for scientists in the systems biology field. During her 11 years with the company, Meredith honed her knowledge of the genomics market, with a particular focus on next-gen DNA sequencing. She is the co-founder of the Consumer Genetics Conference held annually in Boston. Before joining GenomeWeb, Meredith had an extended internship in the busy newsroom at Newsweek in New York City. Meredith brings her industry knowledge and connections to oversee editorial strategy for Bioscribe clients. Meredith enjoys hot-air ballooning and is based in the NYC metropolitan area.
Colin P. Sanford
Colin has nearly 20 years of marketing communications experience in the life science, biotechnology and software industries. Prior to joining Bioscribe, he served as a Vice President with New York City-based The Corkery Group where he supported product and corporate communications for Gilead Sciences’ market-leading HIV/AIDS and Viral Hepatitis franchises as well as the company’s innovative work in expanding access to medicines in the developing world. Previously he served as Director of Marketing Communications at DoubleTwist, an early innovator in web-based genomic data analysis and management technologies. Colin has also worked with a number of public relations agencies in his career including Ketchum Public Relations where he provided strategic media relations counsel to Sun Microsystems and Visa USA. A San Francisco Bay Area native, he now lives and works in Greenwich, CT.
